The tradition meets the modern reading of Bulgarian cuisine in the new Bulgar Restaurant.
More than 200 people have welcomed the opening of the new Bulgar Restaurant. The restaurant, which is located in Hotel Marinela (former restaurant “Lozenets”) opened on December 15th. Famous people from Bulgarian showbiz, politicians, businessmen and many VIP guests first tried selected dishes from Bulgarian cuisine in a modern interpretation of Chef Vladimir Arnautski and his team.
The name of the restaurant comes from the grain crop, which for centuries has been traditional for Bulgarian livelihood. The symbol of the restaurant is the deer – it is present in the restaurant logo and is an essential element in the interior design. And it is really impressive – a mix of wood, metal and leather with attention to every detail.
Bulgar’s menu is a modern reading of the Bulgarian cuisine – selected from dozens of recipes preserved for millennia in grandmothers cookbooks and passed as legends by the masters of culinary art.
At a marvelous ceremony at the Marinela Hotel, Forbes Bulgaria announced the winners of the Forbes Business Awards 2017. The competition, which distinguishes good business practices and the entrepreneurial spirit every year, once again directs the spotlight to companies and people changing for the better economy of Bulgaria.
The event was held with the support of one of the leading providers of cloud services Stone Computers – winner of numerous Bulgarian and international awards for best business, Marinela Hotel Sofia, the global leader in audit, tax and consultancy for EY deals , one of the leading Telelink system integrators in Central and Eastern Europe, FREYWILLE’s world-renowned FREYWILLE brand, and the Audi technology avant-garde brand, which introduced the new Audi A8.
The evening was held in two parts – a forum and a ceremony for awarding the winners. Prior to awarding the awards, Forbes garnered the winners of the last year’s contest. Gergana Grancharova from LeadersPlay, Elena Marinova from Musala Soft, Ivan Kolev from Kolev and Kolev, Diana Stefanova from VMware Bulgaria and Plamen Tsekov from ScaleFocus told about how they managed to develop their companies to what they are presenting today. In front of the audience of the Forbes Business Awards, they also shared some of the mistakes they had made and the experience they had accumulated over these mistakes. At an official ceremony in one of the world’s largest ski destinations in St Moritz, Switzerland, the Bulgarian Hotel Marinela received three World Luxury Hotel Awards, for respectively: the most luxurious brand in Eastern Europe, the most luxurious hotel and conference center the most luxurious business hotel in 2017.
About the prestigious awards, over 400 hotels from around the world have been nominated. The choice of the best in the industry is determined by voting on the site of the organization. More than 300,000 tourists have cast their vote, which has also determined the winners in different categories of luxury world hotels.

For eleven years, the fashion magazine has distinguished the best women in 10 categories – television, Internet, society, business, music, sports, designers, actresses, models and a message in time. In the competition were nominated 59 women, but ten won the title “Woman of the Year” in the different categories. Marinela Arabadzhieva was awarded a business women of the year, in the context of the “Without Borders” topic, she said, “Dreams are the ones that lead you and help you cross the border. Business is important courage, determination and purposefulness, very clear knowing where you are going and what you want to achieve. Good results are the result of consistency, hard work and a strong team. ”
Marinela Arabadjieva is an inspiring, strong and successful woman in business. She graduated in pedagogy, international tourism and spatial design. In every hotel she leaves her handwriting, creating an elegant and sophisticated vision because design is her passion. She is married to businessman Valcho Arabadzhiev and has four children. For 20 years he has managed successfully the hotel business, and since last year he has founded “Marinela” Association with the sole purpose of giving children an equal start and a chance for their future realization.

On October 5th, the iconic star of Italian music, Al Bano arrived in Sofia for his virtuoso concert with the Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra. On Oct-03-2017 was held the second for this year Induction Training for new employees at Hotel Marinela Sofia. It covered all newly-signed team members during the summer months in the hotel. The aim was to inform the members with all the outlets on the territory of the complex, and at the same time about the hotel chain. Foundation Science and Education at the Royal Castle Design & SPA Hotel
From 1 September 2017 the second half of scientific conferences of the Science and Education Foundation starts in September at the Royal Castle Design & SPA Hotel, Elenite Village Village.

This month at Hotel Marinela Sofia there was a training course customized for Front Office – “Customer Service Skills Training” and the main focus was on increasing the qualification and the competences of the employees who have direct contact with guests.
